ahem. for those of you that have informed me of your opinion that graduate school “isn’t real work” i would like to offer you a small peek into the reality of the matter. i admit that i never took these comments to heart as the opinion holders have no basis for comparison and thus have no idea what they are talking about, but as i was packing up my books today i couldn’t ignore the irony of the sheer volume of materials i’ve collected over the past two years which, according to some, apparently are no more than pieces of paper that simply exist. there is no possible way that i actually, you know, had to READ any of them…or write numerous papers…or spend 3+ nights per week at 3 hours each night for 2 years discussing and debating and so on the contents of such. of course not. actually, to be perfectly honest, i learned nothing in school. no one does, you know. it’s all just a facade. we show up and use the wi fi connection to play world of warcraft on our lap tops. after 2 years of just showing up, we are approved by the state to administer mental health treatment to crazies.

*rolls eyes* of COURSE i worked in grad school. anyone that says it isn’t real work is a moron. the picture below represents only about 1/3 of the materials i had to purchase/research for this degree. i have about 300 pdf files on my pc of research articles that i chose to save digitally instead of killing trees.

and if you still think my life is a hay ride…bite me. oh, and contact a mental health professional for a therapy session as you are WAY out of touch with reality…btw, i am now taking clients.
