usps has one of those voice automated help lines instead of actual operators. below is my conversation with “IT”

it: for change of address, say change of address

me: change of address

it: if this is a family move, say family

me: family

it: if this is a temporary move, say temporary

me: HELP!

it: sure, here’s some help!  a temporary change of address means…

at that point i was laughing so hard that i didn’t hear the rest.  just to be sure though, i said help again and received the same reply.  who would have thought that an automated voice could recognize a human in distress and seek to comfort said human with a soothing voice and lengthy explanation of basic terminology.  priceless
